| ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SCIENCES FELLOWSHIPS
The NIEHS Center for Environmental Health Sciences at UC Davis has three fellowships available for each year for Master's or Ph.D. students. Graduate students from any discipline may apply as long as their research interests are related to human health effects of chemicals, such as molecular biology of dioxins, epidemiology of pesticide effects on farmworkers, or effect of calcium intake on susceptibility to lead. First-year students are given preference for fellowships. Each award includes a stipend of approximately $16,000 for one year (Fall, Winter and Spring quarters). Students must already be admitted to a UC Davis graduate program, must have at least a 3.5 undergraduate or graduate GPA. Preference is given to students who have identified a Center faculty member that
they would like to work with (faculty members are listed
on-line at http://www.envtox.ucdavis.edu/cehs/faculty). These are highly competitive fellowships; students are chosen
on the basis of their academic record and interest in the
area of environmental health science. Non-California residents
must obtain supplemental funding to cover their out-of-state
tuition. These fellowships are sponsored by the UC Davis
School of Veterinary Medicine, the School of Medicine, and
the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
Applications for fellowships for the Fall are closed.
