The UC Davis Marine Pollution Studies Laboratory (MPSL) at Granite Canyon conducts applied toxicology research in watersheds, estuaries and coastal waters. Laboratory projects include watershed studies to identify sources and causes of toxicity, development of new analytical methods to determine adverse environmental effects, and participation in statewide monitoring programs that evaluate large-scale trends in water quality related to land use.
